Columbia River Mental Health Foundation
The Columbia River Mental Health Foundation was established in 2006. Our mission is to raise money to support the clients of Columbia River Mental Health Services, the largest and oldest provider of behavioral health services in southwest Washington. Funds raised by the Foundation are targeted at improving the lives of adults and children who are receiving services for mental health or chemical dependency treatment, but who struggle to meet other life needs that their public or private health plans don’t cover. The Foundation addresses these needs by funding: Services for those individuals who do not qualify for services under their public/private insurance plan Transportation assistance Employment assistance Education assistance Clothing Uncovered medical conditions Financial planning, nutrition and home management Respite for caregivers Limited rental assistance Without this additional support, many recipients of mental health and chemical dependency services struggle to complete their treatment programs and to remain healthy and in recovery. The Columbia River Mental Health Foundation is the only not-for-profit in southwest Washington that specifically tries to meet the needs of this population.
